AWARD CRITERIA

1. Originality
Andy Kaufman was one-of-a kind, and so was his performing. While being inspired by another artist is unavoidable, true originality is self-inspired. We are not looking copy cats, and we are not looking for another Andy Kaufman.

2. Creativity
Creativity could be defined as "how" you express your originality. How creative is your material?

3. Spirit
This is a quality that's hard to define, but easy to recognize when it's present. Is your performance art infused with your spirit?

4. Execution
Originality and creativity don't mean undisciplined. The most polished execution can look like impromptu improvisation. We suggest that you practice a lot - in front of real people.

Note:

The use of vulgarity or scatological language will not enhance your chance of winning. It is neither inherently original nor creative.

Please remember that we are not looking for another Andy Kaufman. Rather, we are looking for your own originality, creativity, spirit and execution.
